TV wall mounting in Reservoir

Reservoir mixes older houses with units and newer infill homes, from the streets around the Edwardes Street and Broadway shops to those near Edwardes Lake Park. Whatever the wall, we mount TVs on brick and plasterboard, subject to an on-site check of the wall and position.

Larger screens and the right bracket

Bigger TVs bring heavier loads and wider bracket patterns. Check the VESA pattern and weight on the TV’s spec sheet against the bracket before the visit, or send us the model number and we will check for you. A full-motion arm puts more leverage on the wall than a flat or tilting bracket, which affects where it can go.

Older houses and infill homes

Older homes (often built before about 1950) may have lath and plaster walls and newer ones plasterboard, so each house is checked on site. If the first spot is not suitable, we will suggest another.

In units and infill townhouses, the TV wall may be shared with a neighbour. Let us know, and check any owners corporation rules about wall fixings.

Cable management

Cable management on the wall surface is available to keep the leads neat. Concealing the cables inside the wall is done by an electrician and charged separately, so mention it when our team calls if you want it.

Moving a TV to another wall

Rearranged the lounge, or moving into a Reservoir home where the previous owner left a bracket in an awkward spot? We can take the TV down, remove the old bracket and mount it again on the wall that suits the room better. Include the old and new positions in your photos so both areas can be assessed.

A different wall can mean a different wall type, so the new position is checked on site just as it would be for a new install.

See the scope for patching holes when moving a TV if you want the old mounting area repaired as part of the job list.

FAQs

Can you mount a large TV on plasterboard in a Reservoir unit?

Do you supply the bracket?

Tell us when you enquire whether you have one. If you do, keep its box and hardware for the visit.

Surface cable management is available. Concealing cables inside the wall is done by an electrician and charged separately.
