Kids’ rooms: beds, bunks and storage
Bunk beds, loft beds and tall chests of drawers are the pieces where careful assembly matters most. Every bolt is tightened in the order the instructions set out, guard rails are fitted as designed, and drawers are checked for smooth running before we finish.
Tall units in a child’s room should always be anchored. We fit the anti-tip hardware supplied with the furniture where the wall and the unit allow.

Anchoring to Pascoe Vale walls
A good anchor needs a sound fixing point. Older homes (often built before about 1950) may have lath and plaster walls and newer ones plasterboard, so each house is checked on site. If we cannot find one, we say so rather than leave a fixing that will not hold.
Shopping on Gaffney Street?
Picked up flat-pack storage or shelving at Bunnings Coburg, further along Gaffney Street? We can assemble and install it for you. We build kits from any retailer to the instructions supplied. Store names are for location reference only; no affiliation or endorsement is implied.

List the pieces, add photos of the boxes or instruction covers, and mention anything that needs anchoring along with a photo of that wall. Leave the cartons sealed; we unpack them on the day. If a hardware pack is incomplete, we stop and tell you what is missing. Packaging tidy-up is agreed when quoting.
For a bedroom or living-room setup that also needs TV wall mounting, include the screen model and wall photo with the furniture list.
Wardrobes for the main bedroom
A large freestanding wardrobe is usually the biggest piece in a Pascoe Vale move. Sliding-door models need their tracks set level so the doors run without catching, and hinged models need each door adjusted so the gaps are even. We take the time to get both right before we finish, because a wardrobe that is slightly out of square shows it every time the doors close.
Measure the ceiling height and the wall space before buying. Some tall wardrobes are assembled lying down and then stood up, which needs extra clearance above the finished height.
